Founded in 1861 in Damme, Germany, GRIMMEgroupis a world-renowned specialist in solutions for the cultivation of potatoes, sugar beets and vegetables (carrots, onions, cabbages, garlic, etc.) In 2016, the fifth generation of the Grimme family, Christoph and Philipp, took over the helm of the GRIMME Group, which is expanding its agricultural sales territory to 120 countries and employs more than 3,300 people worldwide.

The GRIMME Group has an extensive global supply system and has successively acquired Danish vegetable equipment manufacturer ASA-LIFT, and American potato and beet technology equipment manufacturer SPUDNIK. It also established INTERNORM (plastic engineering solutions), RICON, and SCHMIEDE.ONE (an agricultural Internet software solutions subsidiary) in Germany. Additionally, the group has set up sales and service subsidiaries in more than 20 countries worldwide.
